Become a Ref

Pirate City Rollers’ referee team, The Even Keels, is looking for guys and girls interested in refereeing roller derby to join them.

Just like freshmeat, they’ll teach you to skate, teach you the rules, and then get you confident at yelling at a pack of women! No refereeing experience required – all you need is a keen interest in learning the rules and the ability to blow a whistle.
Sign up to the freshmeat newsletter to find out more, or email our referee team.
